If I had to nominate someone to lead the way into the future, this man would have my backing wholeheartedly. His words speak truths I long to voice myself but never manage to out without f-bombs, condescension, anger, and contempt that would turn any potential reader away. And therefore negate my opportunity for opening those fence-straddling people’s minds.

My words are no different for an epic victory that shouldn’t even be something we have to write about. Because as humans with humanity uniting our existence, we should know better. But that’s the manic side of me not getting all hyped over righting a wrong that should have never been given room to breathe in the first place. Or perhaps the scrutinizing mother not giving out gold medals for accepting fundamental life values as a basic tenet of life and therefore a necessity of and for all people, regardless of the label they’ve been given. My two year old understands this stuff and I’m supposed to be excited we had to have a government pass a law giving/allowing/demanding that freedom to all? What kind of insanity is that?

I’ll stop here before my unholy rant against the wicked government and the apathetic and slothful mass of “people” begins…

Thank you John for once again showing what grace truly is and where a gentle word goes a lot further than a sharp tongue.

Those stories often help cushion the blows and soften the impact when things around us are too frightening, too disorienting, too difficult for our minds to deal with.

God is preparing His wrath for America.
